Educational Qualification:
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Medical Gastroenterology):Â
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification is included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
- Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
- Postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from a recognized Teaching Institute, i.e. Doctorate of Medicine (Medical Gastroenterology); or Doctorate of Medicine (Gastroenterology); or Diplomate National Board (Medical Gastroenterology); or Diplomate National Board (Gastroenterology); or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with two years special training in Gastroenterology; or Doctor of Medicine (Paediatrics) with two years special training in Gastroenterology; or Diplomate National Board (Medicine) with two years special training in Gastroenterology; or Diplomate National Board (Paediatrics) with two years special training in Gastroenterology.
- Experience: At least three years of teaching experience as a Senior Resident or Tutor or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree
Assistant Director (Management):Â Â
- Master’s Degree in Management Studies (Master of Business Administration) with specialization in Human Resource Management from recognized University.
- Experience: Three Years of teaching experience in management studies (Master of Business Administration) in Central Government or State Government Union Territories, or any recognized institutions
Assistant Director Grade-I (IEDS) (Chemical): Masters Degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute OR Bachelor degree in Chemical Technology or Chemical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute

- M.D.( Pharmacology)/ MBBS with Ph.D.( Medical Pharmacology) from a recognised University/ Institution or equivalent OR (II)
- M.Sc.( Medical Pharmacology) from a recognised University or equivalent.
- Ph.D.(Medical Pharmacology)/ D.Sc.( Medical Pharmacology) from a recognised University/Institution or equivalent.
- Experience: Ten years experience in the profession after acquiring postgraduate qualification, out of which four years should be as Reader/ Associate Professor in a Recognised Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
- Desirable: Minimum four research publications indexed in Index Medicus/ National journals and one Research Publication in International Journals
Senior Lecturer (Radio-diagnosis):
- A basic University or equivalent qualification is included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
- M.D.( Radiodiagnosis)/ M.D.( Radiology)/ M.S.( Radiology) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
- Experience: Three years of teaching experience in the concerned Specialty after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
Senior Lecturer (Psychiatry):
- A basic University or equivalent qualification is included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). It must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
- M.D. (Psychiatry)/ M.D. (Psychological Medicine)/ M.D. (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
- Experience: Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring post-graduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution
Age Limit:
- Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Medical Gastroenterology):Â 40 Years
- Assistant Director (Management):Â 35 Years
- Assistant Director Grade-I:Â 30 Years
- Professor (Pharmacology): 50 Years
- Senior Lecturer:Â 50 Years
Age Relaxation:
- The age limit shown against all items is the normal age limit and the age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce a caste certificate in the prescribed proforma.
- Age relaxation of 10 years (This implies that Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes category candidates would get a maximum of 15 years of age relaxation, including five years meant for their respective categories.
- Similarly, OBC candidates would get a maximum of up to 13 years, including 3 years of age relaxation meant for the OBC category)
- The upper age limit is relaxable for the Central/U.T. Government.
- The upper age limit in the case of Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers, including ECOs/SSCOs, shall be relaxed by five years
- Servants up to 5 years as per instructions issued by the Government. of India from time to time.
- This implies that Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes category candidates would get a maximum of 10 years of age relaxation including 5 years of age relaxation meant for their respective categories.
- Similarly, OBC candidates would get a maximum of up to 8 years including 3 years of age relaxation meant for the OBC category.

Selection Process of UPSC Recruitment:
- The selection process includes Interviews.
- The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by an interview, will be UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100.
- In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an interview, the candidate will have to achieve a minimum level of suitability in their respective category at the Interview stage.
- By holding a Recruitment Test. Generally, weightage in the ratio of 75:25 is accorded for marks in the Recruitment Test and for marks in the interview in determining final merit.
