Job Description – DigitalOcean Off Campus Recruitment 2023

• Running, automating, and maintaining critical enterprise services such as GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Action Runners, Concourse CI/CD, Artifactory, Backstage, among others
• Build and support critical infrastructure required by development teams so that engineers at DO can operate, build, test, and release software efficiently and quickly
• Optimizing Build Patterns with Docker/Containers
• Researching, Implement and adopting deployment patterns in Kubernetes
• Instrumenting telemetry and engaging with Observability, building visualizations that reveal the performance measures and opportunities of Engineering Teams’ software lifecycle
• Building and maintaining runbooks to operationalize our systems
• Active engagement with and providing first-class support to our Engineering Teams
• Participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule

Experience & Skills Required – DigitalOcean Off Campus Recruitment 2023

• Strong, demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines, internal configuration management tools, GitHub / GitHub Enterprise, or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience deploying, operating, and maintaining enterprise level software and systems and Linux administration
• Expertise with at least one of the following languages: Golang (Go), Python, Ruby, Rust
• A strong interest and obsession with building quality software focused on enabling developers to iterate on their ideas
• A natural curiosity to identify gaps and propose scalable, enterprise-grade solutions and opportunities for automation
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong Opinions, Weakly Held
