Job Description:
 
 
 NATURE AND SCOPE
  • The job holder is one of the key members of the design team having responsibility for the civil and structural analysis & design. Based on the execution strategy, the job holder will be responsible for civil and structural analysis & design on projects.
  • IV. DIMENSIONS:
  • Responsible for 10,000 C&S analysis and design project man-hours per annum.
  • Responsible for review of Vendor documents, Interdisciplinary check (IDC) documents.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers and designers.
  • A C&S Engineer acts as the technical interface with AP project execution teams for C & S designs. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose plant design including analysis to an agreed schedule and budget.
  • PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Safety and rigorous adherence to relevant specification and standards for all C&S Engineering Deliverables.
  • Accountable for the engineering scope adherence in accordance with project specification & standards.
  • Implementation of quality procedures.
  • C&S review / check necessary for project execution .
  • Analysis & Design of equipment foundations like compressors, pumps, static & dynamic equipment, storage tanks, cooling tower basin & sump etc.
  • Other civil designs – pipe rack foundations, structure foundations, civil pipe supports, water tanks, miscellaneous foundations, etc.
  • Steel structure designs – technological structures, pipe racks, compressor shelters, platforms, ladders etc.
  • Experience of modular steel structures is desirable including sea transportation, land transportation and lifting analysis.
  • Effectively communicate by email, .ppt or ‘face to face’ AP’s execution strategies, schedule issues and project requirements
  • Maintain Business Safety Principals (BSP) targets and LSO compliance.
  •  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • An Engineering Degree (or equivalent) and relevant work experience of 8-10 years.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills
  • Experience of working on industrial plants.
  • Must be familiar with an engineering organization, the function of each discipline and how they interact and the function of the various support groups globally.
  • Fully conversant with Indian and global codes applicable for Civil & Structural engineering. (e.g. American, Canadian, Eurocodes, etc.)
  • Experience working with software such as STAAD pro, MAT-3D, Foundation 3D and capable of manual design by using spread sheet program.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an added advantage:
  • Design of foundations for large vibratory machines (e.g. centrifugarl compressors, reciprocating compressors, table top foundations, etc. )
  • Structural steel design and detailing in high seismic regions.
  • Analysis and design of Modular pipe racks and process structures including sea transportation, land transportation and lifting analysis. Work experience in Large or very large modules will be an added advantage.
